The giant head of Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba
Gonzalo de Córdoba is considered to be a pioneer of modern warfare. His main relevance to Granada is that he arranged Boabdil’s surrender to Isabel and Ferdinand. In addition to his giant head, he has a street named after him, and his remains are interred at a nearby monastery.
