Fortunately I had a relatively long stay in C\u00e1diz (5 days) for some <a href=\"http:\/\/pxl8.es\/index.php\/2016\/05\/16\/beach-therapy\/\">beach therapy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>C\u00e1diz ended up being one of my favorite stops. It&#8217;s an indescribably\u00a0<em>old<\/em> city, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/europe\/europes-oldest-city-is-found-5328361.html\">longest continuously inhabited city in Europe<\/a>. It&#8217;s heyday was arguably the 18th century\u00a0when it became\u00a0the home port for Spain&#8217;s treasure fleet.<\/p>\n<p>These days, it&#8217;s a much quieter place. There&#8217;s a steady stream of tourists owing to its cruise port,\u00a0but not a lot of industry, per se.
